What professional tips or advice would you like to share about your profession?
One advice I could give is to have a mentor as early in your dental career as possible! Having a mentor is essential. We learn every day! Improving ourselves, makes us better mentors to others as well.
What is your #1 reason for becoming an ADEA member?
When I first joined academia, I had to create a syllabus from scratch, since the dental school was a newly founded one. I wanted to become an ADEA member so I can have access to resources and ask for advice. It was one of the best decisions as everyone is willing to help and provide guidance.
What has been the most rewarding experience of your career?
The smile of a patient and the success of my students are the two most rewarding experiences! It is amazing to see your students graduating and moving to the next step of their career!
How has ADEA Connect been useful to you?
ADEA Connect has helped me to make connections with educators across the country! I have been able to share experiences in dental education, learn about dental curriculum especially if there is a new course or a new technology that can be implemented in dental education.
What is your favorite hobby or place to travel?
My favorite place to travel is Greece! Especially, the Greek islands! As for hobbies, I love swimming and photography!
